About Jimmy Nomula

Jayasimha Nomula is a photographer drawn to moments that often go unnoticed—small gestures, fleeting expressions, and the quiet rhythm of everyday life. His work moves between music, culture, and the streets, where instinct matters more than perfection.

For over a decade, he has been documenting Indian classical musicians and live performances, finding meaning not just in the stage, but in the silences before and after—the tuning, the waiting, the stillness. Music, for him, is not just something to photograph, but something to feel and translate into frames.

His approach is simple: stay present, move with the moment, and let the image reveal itself. Whether in a crowded festival, a dimly lit concert hall, or a passing street scene, his photographs carry a sense of movement and intimacy.

Using a minimal setup and often working close to his subjects, he prefers to remain unobtrusive—allowing stories to unfold naturally. His work has been recognised internationally, including multiple features by Leica and exhibitions across platforms.

Based in Hyderabad, he continues to document people, places, and performances—always searching for frames that feel honest, timeless,& alive
